Skytech Inc., the longest tenured Pilatus PC-12 dealer and recently appointed dealer for the all-new PC-24, was on hand to officially launch the order book for the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet at EBACE in Geneva, Switzerland. All total, 84 orders were recorded at the show and interest for the PC-24 continues to grow as future milestones appear on the horizon.
Oscar J. Schwenk, Chairman of the Board of Directors, commented on the order signings:
"The PC-24 project was unveiled to the general public exactly a year ago. The interest from potential customers has been overwhelming ever since. It was soon clear to us that our new aircraft occupies a unique but typically Pilatus market niche. For everyone at our factory in Stans who is involved in this project, it is a source of motivation and reward to know that we have already found the first customers for our new business jet, even though it is still undergoing development. The sales registered at this year's EBACE are another major milestone in the PC-24 project."
Said Skytech's President, John Foster:
"Skytech is honored to place orders for our first 5 PC-24's. With the project fully on track, we look forward to first customer deliveries in 2017 with great enthusiasm. We are convinced the PC-24 will create a new standard for light jets."
The next major milestone in the program, the rollout of the first prototype, is planned for August 1, 2014 at the Pilatus factory in Stans, Switzerland. Coinciding with Swiss National Day, the rollout promises to be a unique event, celebrating both 75 years of Pilatus heritage as well as the bright future of the PC-24. Three prototypes will be built for the PC-24 flight test program, with a maiden flight scheduled for early 2015. Certification and first deliveries to customers are planned for 2017.
Skytech will be the exclusive Sales outlet, the exclusive Maintenance provider, and the exclusive Parts outlet for the PC-24 in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. With full-service FBOs at the Carroll County Regional Airport in Westminster, Maryland and the York County Airport in Rock Hill, South Carolina; Skytech is committed to the continued excellence of the Pilatus brand.
